Pegasus Warning is My Life

To see Pegasus Warning perform live is to be transported to a moment in time when Prince had a ménage à trois with Chaka Kahn and Grace Jones, which resulted in the immaculate conception of Guillermo E. Brown a.k.a Pegasus Warning.  This New York native put on quite a show in June as the opener for The Temper Trap at Terminal 5, making use of chest rattling bass lines, 8 bit noise and soul-inflected harmonies.

What began as a timid crowd clutching their drinks and silently dreading the infamous off-brand opening act quickly turned into an all-out dance party, with concert goers breathlessly asking each other between songs, “Who the hell is this guy?!” Clad in glittering PVC pants and generous epaulettes, Brown’s onstage gyration was instantly contagious and the crowd was left craving more.  We cannot wait to see what Pegasus Warning has in store for 2012. @Pegasus_Warning

In the meantime, listen to the seductive title track “Olive ISLAND” above (also available for download at SoundCloud or Bandcamp).  You can also peep some [extremely] amateur video from the Terminal 5 performance.
